I’m a wine writer/communicator, and for many years now I have been tasting wine professionally.
I’ve also visited Japan many times, and visited a couple of sake breweries.
So I decided it is time to study sake. I have some flavour-fluency from my wine experience. It will be an interesting challenge turning this to sake.
I have signed up for the WSET level 3 course in sake, and will be sitting the exam in May. In the meantime, I’m doing a deep dive into this fascinating world.
I have a lot to learn in a short time, and I’m going to be tasting as I go. And I will be documenting my progress here, in notes and videos.
